Why it's listed

Dale & Son Farms is a third generation family farm in the Ozark foothills at Dover, founded in 1957 and raising American Wagyu since 2017 under Charles and Allynson Dale. The farm is unusually plain about what it sells: a 50 percent Black Angus, 50 percent Wagyu cross, born and raised on the farm for life, finished to 29 months with no hormones or antibiotics. Beef goes out as eighths, quarters, halves and bundles through an online store, delivered around Dover, Russellville and the Dallas Fort Worth area. Three restored farm buildings can also be booked for an overnight stay.

01

A third-generation farm that names the ratio

Dale and Son Farms has been in the Ozark foothills at Dover since 1957 and has raised American Wagyu since 2017 under Charles and Allynson Dale. What earns it a place above most of its neighbours is plainness: it states that the animal is fifty percent Black Angus and fifty percent Wagyu, born and raised on the farm, and finished to twenty-nine months.

A stated ratio is the whole game on this pillar. A first cross carries half the Wagyu genetics and, fed for that long, marbles well beyond what the Angus side gives on its own. Most farms selling the identical animal simply write Wagyu and leave the buyer to guess, and the guess is almost always generous.

02

Sold by the share, collected locally

Beef goes out as eighths, quarters and halves rather than as individual steaks, which means freezer space and a wait while the animal finishes. Nothing ships. That is the ordinary shape of this business across Arkansas and Mississippi, and it is worth saying because a reader used to buying Wagyu online will find almost none of these farms can sell to them.
