Menu claim only

This listing's current published materials advertise Wagyu, but the offering does not meet our full verification standard for provenance. It carries no authenticity badge; undisclosed details remain explicitly unverified.

Why it's listed

The fine dining room inside The Nash casino on Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua, and the only restaurant found in New Hampshire carrying a Wagyu steak on its entree list. Wagyu runs through three courses. A 14oz dry aged Wagyu ribeye at 79 sits on the Proper Steaks list beside a 24oz Prime porterhouse and a 16oz Prime New York sirloin; a Wagyu beef carpaccio at 19 and a Wagyu meatball at 18 open the menu, and both carry over to the Proper Provisions lounge card. The kitchen states no country, breed or producer for any of the three. Dinner only, Wednesday through Sunday, and the room is 21 and over at all times.

Authenticity flags

  • The 79 dry aged Wagyu ribeye is the only steak on the list that carries no origin label. Every other cut beside it is named as Prime, while the Wagyu line states no country, no breed and no producer, so there is nothing on the menu to tell you whether it is Japanese, Australian or American. Ask before you order if that matters to you.

Common questions

Does Proper Chophouse serve real Wagyu?
Its own current menu advertises Wagyu, and that claim was read directly on August 18, 2026. What the menu does not do is say which Wagyu: no prefecture, grade, breed status or producer is published, so the sourcing cannot be checked from outside. That is a gap in what is written down rather than a suggestion that anything is wrong with the beef, and plenty of kitchens buy carefully without printing the details.
What kind of Wagyu does Proper Chophouse serve?
Its menu discloses unknown. Each of those is taken from the venue's own current materials rather than from a review or a listing site, and the evidence behind it is quoted further down this page.
Why is Proper Chophouse listed without a Wagyu badge?
Because a badge here means the sourcing was checked, not that the food is good. This listing is published because the venue genuinely advertises Wagyu on its own current material, and it carries no badge because that material does not say which Wagyu. If the venue publishes the prefecture, grade, breed status or producer, the listing can move.
