Wagyu from $16 on the menu we read · up to $42
This listing's current published materials advertise Wagyu, but the offering does not meet our full verification standard for provenance. It carries no authenticity badge; undisclosed details remain explicitly unverified.
Why it's listed
Miso Mozza is a Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant on Atwells Avenue in Providence's Federal Hill, pairing a raw bar and hand rolls with house-made pasta. Wagyu appears three times on the current menus: binchotan Wagyu skewers at $24, an American Wagyu picanha entree at $42 with parsnip puree and wasabi salsa verde, and a torched A5 Japanese Wagyu hand roll with sea salt at $16. The menus state the A5 grade and the American origin but name no producer, farm, prefecture or brand. Reservations run through Resy, with takeout via the restaurant's own Toast store.

- akaushi across the full server-rendered Toast store HTML (185,978 bytes), every page in misomozza.com/sitemap.xml, and all five menu images read visually. Zero occurrences of any of them. There is no AUS-MEAT MB/MS score and no Australian sourcing anywhere on this venue's first-party surfaces.
- Partial credit trap: the food menu says "American Wagyu Picanha" and the hand roll menu says "Torched A5 Japanese wagyu". Each names half of what its origin requires (American needs breed status plus a named producer; Japanese needs a brand or prefecture plus the grade). Neither is complete, so neither can be badged.
- The reader proxy (r.jina.ai) silently omitted IMG_7212.jpg, the single most important menu image on the site - the one carrying both beef items. A verdict taken off the reader-proxy output alone would have missed the American Wagyu Picanha entirely and likely under-called this venue.

Common questions
- Does Miso Mozza serve real Wagyu?
- Its own current menu advertises Wagyu, and that claim was read directly on August 9, 2026. What the menu does not do is say which Wagyu: no prefecture, grade, breed status or producer is published, so the sourcing cannot be checked from outside. That is a gap in what is written down rather than a suggestion that anything is wrong with the beef, and plenty of kitchens buy carefully without printing the details.
- What kind of Wagyu does Miso Mozza serve?
- Its menu discloses American and A5 Japanese. Each of those is taken from the venue's own current materials rather than from a review or a listing site, and the evidence behind it is quoted further down this page.
- Why is Miso Mozza listed without a Wagyu badge?
- Because a badge here means the sourcing was checked, not that the food is good. This listing is published because the venue genuinely advertises Wagyu on its own current material, and it carries no badge because that material does not say which Wagyu. If the venue publishes the prefecture, grade, breed status or producer, the listing can move.
