Menu claim only

This listing's current published materials advertise Wagyu, but the offering does not meet our full verification standard for provenance. It carries no authenticity badge; undisclosed details remain explicitly unverified.

Why it's listed

A sushi bar at 68 Greenwich Avenue, open since 2019, built around fish rather than beef. Two items touch wagyu. The a la carte nigiri list carries a wagyu piece at 14, written on the menu as Waygu, with no description. Among the signature rolls, the Rock N Roll at 24 is rock shrimp and avocado topped with what the menu calls seared Kobe beef in a rock shrimp sauce. Neither item states a grade, a prefecture, a farm or a certification.

Authenticity flags

  • The Rock N Roll is described as topped with seared Kobe beef, but the restaurant is not among the venues officially licensed to sell certified Kobe Beef from Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and the menu names no producer, grade or certificate. Read it as a marbled beef topping rather than certified Kobe.
  • The a la carte wagyu piece is listed at 14 with no grade, prefecture or producer given. A 2019 press review of the restaurant described its wagyu as A5, but no current menu repeats that, so treat the grade as unstated and ask if it matters to you.

Common questions

Does MIKU Sushi serve real Wagyu?
Its own current menu advertises Wagyu, and that claim was read directly on July 22, 2026. What the menu does not do is say which Wagyu: no prefecture, grade, breed status or producer is published, so the sourcing cannot be checked from outside. That is a gap in what is written down rather than a suggestion that anything is wrong with the beef, and plenty of kitchens buy carefully without printing the details.
Why is MIKU Sushi listed without a Wagyu badge?
Because a badge here means the sourcing was checked, not that the food is good. This listing is published because the venue genuinely advertises Wagyu on its own current material, and it carries no badge because that material does not say which Wagyu. If the venue publishes the prefecture, grade, breed status or producer, the listing can move.
