Wagyu from $26 on the menu we read
This listing's current published materials advertise Wagyu, but the offering does not meet our full verification standard for provenance. It carries no authenticity badge; undisclosed details remain explicitly unverified.
Why it's listed
O-iza is the fine dining sushi and teppanyaki room of Lin's Restaurant Group on East El Camino in north Fresno, and its menu, stamped April 2026, carries three Japanese A-5 wagyu dishes. The A-5 Hot Rock at $55 is cooked at the table, A-5 Wagyu Beef is sold as nigiri or sashimi at $26, and the $53 King Of The Sea maki is finished with A-5 wagyu. Five further dishes use unspecified wagyu, among them a gyoza, a fried rice and a sando. No prefecture, brand or farm is named anywhere.
Authenticity flags
- Three dishes here are described as Japanese A-5 wagyu: the Hot Rock cooked at the table, the wagyu nigiri and the King Of The Sea roll. Five others, including the wagyu gyoza, the fried rice, the sando and the curry don patty, say only wagyu with no grade at all, and the menu names no prefecture, brand or farm for any of them. Ask which beef is in the cheaper dishes if the source matters to you.

Common questions
- Does O-iza serve real Wagyu?
- Its own current menu advertises Wagyu, and that claim was read directly on August 17, 2026. What the menu does not do is say which Wagyu: no prefecture, grade, breed status or producer is published, so the sourcing cannot be checked from outside. That is a gap in what is written down rather than a suggestion that anything is wrong with the beef, and plenty of kitchens buy carefully without printing the details.
- What kind of Wagyu does O-iza serve?
- Its menu discloses A5 Japanese. Each of those is taken from the venue's own current materials rather than from a review or a listing site, and the evidence behind it is quoted further down this page.
- Why is O-iza listed without a Wagyu badge?
- Because a badge here means the sourcing was checked, not that the food is good. This listing is published because the venue genuinely advertises Wagyu on its own current material, and it carries no badge because that material does not say which Wagyu. If the venue publishes the prefecture, grade, breed status or producer, the listing can move.
