Wagyu from $20 on the menu we read · up to $125
This listing's current published materials advertise Wagyu, but the offering does not meet our full verification standard for provenance. It carries no authenticity badge; undisclosed details remain explicitly unverified.
Why it's listed
A downtown El Paso izakaya and teppanyaki room on the ground floor of Hunt Plaza at WestStar Tower, open seven days. Japanese A5 Wagyu runs across four listings: a 4oz portion served on a traditional ishiyaki stone for table-side grilling at 70, a premium nigiri, an A5 Wagyu chicharron with shiso guacamole, and a cut-to-order Wagyu Experience sold by the ounce with its own gratuity policy. A separate 10oz Texas Wagyu steak runs 75 in the dining room and 85 on the teppan. No prefecture, brand or farm is named for the Japanese beef.
Authenticity flags
- Every Japanese Wagyu listing here says only A5. No prefecture, brand or farm is named for the beef, and the Wagyu block on the menu that reads Certified Authentic does not say who certifies it. Ask which region and producer is being served if that matters to you.
- The Texas Wagyu steak on the teppanyaki menu is also labelled Certified Authentic, but the menu names no ranch, no breed programme and no grade for it.
- Both A5 Japanese Wagyu listings are marked limited availability, and the A5 chicharron has been reading out of stock on the delivery menu. Call ahead if the A5 is the reason you are booking.

Common questions
- Does Sushi Itto serve real Wagyu?
- Its own current menu advertises Wagyu, and that claim was read directly on August 17, 2026. What the menu does not do is say which Wagyu: no prefecture, grade, breed status or producer is published, so the sourcing cannot be checked from outside. That is a gap in what is written down rather than a suggestion that anything is wrong with the beef, and plenty of kitchens buy carefully without printing the details.
- What kind of Wagyu does Sushi Itto serve?
- Its menu discloses American and A5 Japanese. Each of those is taken from the venue's own current materials rather than from a review or a listing site, and the evidence behind it is quoted further down this page.
- Why is Sushi Itto listed without a Wagyu badge?
- Because a badge here means the sourcing was checked, not that the food is good. This listing is published because the venue genuinely advertises Wagyu on its own current material, and it carries no badge because that material does not say which Wagyu. If the venue publishes the prefecture, grade, breed status or producer, the listing can move.
