This listing's current published materials advertise Wagyu, but the offering does not meet our full verification standard for provenance. It carries no authenticity badge; undisclosed details remain explicitly unverified.
Why it's listed
A Sugar House neighborhood seafood and steak room open since 2014, at the corner of 2100 South and 2300 East. Its own food menu lists two Wagyu steaks, a 5oz filet mignon at $65 and an 8oz hanger at $68, both grilled in house beef tallow and both attributed to Kuro Wagyu, which the restaurant describes as coming from Colorado. Wagyu beef also appears in the house egg rolls and in a half pound brisket and chuck burger, neither of which names a source. No grade or breed generation is published for any of the beef.
Authenticity flags
- Only the two Wagyu steaks name a source, Kuro Wagyu of Colorado. The Wagyu egg rolls and the Wagyu burger name none, and the restaurant does not publish a grade or a breed generation for any of its Wagyu. Ask which cut you are getting if the sourcing matters to you.

Common questions
- Does Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. serve real Wagyu?
- Its own current menu advertises Wagyu, and that claim was read directly on August 16, 2026. What the menu does not do is say which Wagyu: no prefecture, grade, breed status or producer is published, so the sourcing cannot be checked from outside. That is a gap in what is written down rather than a suggestion that anything is wrong with the beef, and plenty of kitchens buy carefully without printing the details.
- What kind of Wagyu does Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. serve?
- Its menu discloses Kuro Wagyu. Each of those is taken from the venue's own current materials rather than from a review or a listing site, and the evidence behind it is quoted further down this page.
- Why is Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. listed without a Wagyu badge?
- Because a badge here means the sourcing was checked, not that the food is good. This listing is published because the venue genuinely advertises Wagyu on its own current material, and it carries no badge because that material does not say which Wagyu. If the venue publishes the prefecture, grade, breed status or producer, the listing can move.
