Wren is a Japanese robata, izakaya and sushi restaurant on the 11th floor of the Watermark Hotel in Tysons, from executive chef Yo Matsuzaki. Its signature is ishiyaki wagyu: Miyazaki Prefecture A5 wagyu grilled tableside on a hot lava stone with kizami wasabi and ponzu, priced per ounce with a two-ounce minimum. The menu also lists a wagyu fried rice made with Imperial Wagyu, a wagyu burger, and a beluga caviar dish finished with wagyu powder. The named Miyazaki A5 ishiyaki gives the beef transparent Japanese origin and grade.
