Wagyu restaurants in Michigan

Forty-four Michigan restaurants publish here and five clear the full sourcing standard, which leaves thirty-nine resting on a menu claim. Among the twenty states with five or more verified rooms, none carries a wider gap than that: close to eight advertised rooms for every documented one.

Three of the five are in Detroit and the other two are suburban, Adachi in Birmingham and The Dancing Pine in Novi. Fifteen Michigan cities hold a published listing and Detroit is the only one with two or more verified rooms, so it is the state's only city page. Ann Arbor, Traverse City and Grand Rapids all publish rooms and none of them has documented one yet.

Michigan is the most Australian state in this directory. Three of its five verified rooms document Australian Wagyu, a higher share than any other state with five or more verified rooms, and the names behind it are the serious ones: Westholme at two rooms, Stone Axe at two, Margaret River at The London Chop House and Robbins Island at Prime + Proper. Every one of the five names the striploin on its menu, more than name the ribeye, which reverses the ordinary pattern. Four of the five cite a ranch or a brand by name, among them Black Hawk Farms of Kentucky and Rosewood Ranches of Texas, so this is a documented pillar that talks about supply rather than only about grade. Zero Michigan rooms hold a licence on the official Kobe register and zero carry the Certified Kobe badge, and none of the five reaches the top tier.
